Burp - O - Rama / HOW do you know?

Every minute on the minute for 20 min. perform:

10 burpees

HOW do you know?

Globo dude:  "You know she was doing that wrong don't you?" 

me:  "How do you know?"

Globo dude: "I have been lifting now for..."

me (interrupting):  "Not, how do YOU know?...HOW do you know?"

Globo dude:  "I attended the university of..."

me (interrupting again):  "Not, how do you KNOW?...HOW do you know?"

Globo dude (frustrated); HOW do I know what? 

me: HOW do you know what she is doing?

Globo dude: "she's doing pull-ups...d... (almost says "dumb-ass")"

me:  "And why do you think she is doing pull-ups?"

Globo dude (face contorts as he tries to think of ONE other reason in the world a person would do a pull-up other than to build VERY LARGE muscles): "To build muscle?" 

me:  "so you don't KNOW?"

Globo dude: "huhm?"

me:  "I thought you were her fire chief or something" 

Globo dude (emphatically): HUHM?

me: "I was teaching her a more efficient and effective way of doing pull-ups, using a kip.  The requirements only read that she must do 7 pull-ups, each rep from the straight elbow position to chin over the bar position to qualify for the Fire dept. job she is trying for.  It didn't specify that kipping pull-ups would be disqualified.  So, when I asked HOW you knew she was doing it wrong, I was asking if you had knowledge that superseded her manual? 

Globo dude:  "What's a kipping pull-up?"

me: "The question you should have lead with."

gotta love those burpees for what they do...Gotta hate them for what they are!
Missed 2 rounds when both feet cramped up. Left shoes off for the rest of the rounds that really helped. I was able to finish them out. Thanks Lizz.

I liked this O-Rama. Great full-body workout. I must have aged 10 years in the past 3 months because my body is not recovering as fast as it used to....

Neil, loved the article. That's funny stuff, 1-because I could see you doing that and 2-because it's spot on.

I wasn't sure about this workout. It was tough, but I got all 200!

Did a workout for my girls after. That was a blast. I love FZN, everyone can develop fitness here, even 8 and 6 year olds, and they love it!

Every Fitzoner who dared to show up today experienced a small part of what hell is like. Hell would be doing that burp-o-ramam every hour on the hour 24/7. Satan invented the burpee, that I have no doubt. My daughter 7, son 6, and son 10 did this workout. Nothing is better than seeing my children join on there own free will and finish this workout. Felt great today till the last three rounds. The taste of blood is still there. I love it.

Im with ya Tara!!! It was an awesome workout hard very hard...burpees suck but after the workout feel like your on top of the world! 200 burpees doesn't get any better than that. I love the noon class couldn't have done it without them. awesome job everyone. It was so amazing/cool seeing Tara/Marc Kids do the workout-every min they were down giving it there all with the rest of us. So incrediable to watch how children learn the importants of exercise and how good it is for our health. Way to go Walton Kids....

Who are these people that get 200? Had sick kids today so I did this workout at home in front of the T.V. and only got 148 in 20 minutes. Maybe Glenn Beck was slowing me down. :)

Loved today's workout. Super hard, but always feels good after. I'm now paying the price for doing all those burpees on my foot! Geez..how long does it take for a broken foot to heal? Good job nooners!

YEEEEOOOOW! 200 burpees! Got slow at the end but rocked them. Was impressed with the Walton kids. They got every rep. Sydney made it look easy.

Burpees still suck. I'm with Tara. Burpees were invented by Satan. I still taste the metal, too.

Congrats to everyone who did this work-out, I was ready going in to this to drop reps as the rounds went on, but did not. Its sweet the motivation I found from everyone around me sucking it up, pounding the floor and getting back up. We need more people at FZN, freaking bring them!

I too was afraid of the burpees...agreed the devil's pushups! It went better after Neil showed us a more efficient way to do the stinkin' things!! 200 burpess done in one workout feels awesome!!

Did all 200 burpees! Ouch!
