It’s Time – by Megan Wallace
When my daughter was two she had
eye surgery. Her right eye had stopped focusing and was drifting in towards her
nose. Without surgery Virginia would have gone blind in her weak
eye. As her weak right eye stopped working appropriately her brain stopped
using it. The development that needed to take place between her brain and eye
was no longer occurring. The surgery promoted development between both eyes and
her brain again. Today Virginia
doesn’t have perfect vision, but it is constantly improving and she will no
longer go blind.
Just as Virginia is developing the neurological
pathways between her brain and eyes, all children develop neurological pathways
between their brain and body as they grow. However, children must use their
bodies, just as Virginia
had to use both her eyes, for that development to occur. Learning how to squat,
bend, throw, pull, jump, land, run, hop, pick things up and so on is a
developmental process we must all go through.
As children are spending less time developing their physical fitness
through vigorous play on their own, we have determined it essential to offer
our children the opportunity to gain all the benefits of fitness through
O.ZoneKid workouts. We hope it will encourage a life full of ability, health
and happiness for all our children.

Russ, way to stick it out with the 95#. After the first round, I knew that was too much weight for me. For next time I need to remember to tape my hands. Got a pretty good tear today.

don't remember my time. I kept tweaking my shoulder so I went kind of slow.
Corey, I am so disappointed! What are we going to do with you?

Today's workout was really hard in a hotel gym. First pullups weren't going to happen unless I grew two feet. I tried to use a bunch but even then I knew I would fall and break something. I replaced pullups with pushups then I use 20# dumb bells for the thrusters and 25# dumb bell for the burpees. I finished in ~20 min. I then did 75 situps and 60 triceps. Adam did supersets of shoulder and triceps so they had an aerobic element. He then finished with 75 situps.
We worked out yesterday too. I did Saturdays workout and running at sealevel is awesome! Adam did chest and biceps, then jumping squats and situps 75 each.
