Manimals

For time:

100 "man-imals" 25/45 (see photos below)

To perform one "man-imal" begin by dropping a weight 25f/45m on the floor.

Perform the beginning phase of a burpee on the weight.

On the "up" phase of your burpee pick up your weight and loft it over your head.

From this position, keep the weight lofted and perform a walking lunge step with each leg

Upon completion of the lunge steps, throw weight on the ground, jump over it,...

Turn around, and start over - that is ONCE.

Curious,
I assume you meant "different than Crossfit".
I can't speak for FZN since I'm just a paying customer but for me it's more individualized, everything can be scaled or taylored depending on the individual. Extra workouts are prepared for those who wish to put more emphasis on strength or endurance or whatever. And, we have Neil, Lizz, Megan and Juliann...and the Yak.

I haven't been to many Crossfit gyms but I have been to a couple. I like this better. Really though, you should stop by and see for yourself.

I don't think my legs are going to work again. 23:20 with pain in each.

62 in 22:08. Boy was I sweating!!
Last time it took me well over 30 minutes to get to 60, so I felt like this was making progress. I need to be able to walk tomorrow, so I quit a little early. Felt a little like a slacker, but I'm sore enough that I know I got a great workout.

I know smart-aleckey I said something this morning to the effect of "Bring on Thrust-o-rama tomorrow"...

But please, please, please, We can not take it!!!!!!

Neil and Keri FYI: I just did the freakin "Manimals"! It was not the funnest thing I've ever done. Plus--I did it at home with my 12 year old callin me on! (I made him do 10 right when I finished!) 22:00 minutes-not great time but this was a first for me. So I can only improve, right. I'm just happy I did it! Sorry I dogged this morning, Ker. Dang kids!

I want a "I wanna be like Man-Arms" Tee-Shirt! HOLLY....!! Andy, Keri, and Lizz put it down too!! I'm not worthy.

Court, to be like you do I just eat the chocolate covered bacon, or do I have to cook it in a spoon and inject it? :)

Took today off which means I go do some other "fun" class on Thursdays. I did BodyJam today and it was a fun break up, but I look like a fool dancing as it is so you should have seen me with quads that still are killing me. It is funny that I use to go to these classes as my whole workout and now I do it on my "days off". So, I agree with Court's quads and thighs, I don't know what I will do with Thrust-o-Rama.
